iForex and similar advertisement on Internet

Last week of 2014 , I was browsing rediff.com and I saw advertisement of a currency trading portal. At that time fortunately I was planning to increase my revenues in 2015 and so on. So the advertisement just pulled my plan of action to try currency trading in the year 2015. I filled up a short form below advertisement containing basic details including mobile number. Basic detail was required just to get a short course on currency trading. But the form contained an undertaking which I needed to accept before initiating the request. I was free at that time but lacked patience in the last week of December 2014 to read the entire terms and conditions for 4-5 pages. Instantly I dropped the plan and left it for another time.

After 2 hours  I got a call on my mobile and certainly it was a call from outside India. The person confirmed that if I shown my interest in their site , I replied affirmatively. Then he asked why I did not complete the registration. I informed that before reading terms and conditions how could I accept the offer. The person insisted me that you are not required to pay anything just accept it. I informed him politely that before reading , how could I accept anything although it did not involve any financial transaction. The person tried to convince me but ultimately he was not happy and told ok you read the form accept then will talk. He told the right thing but I felt desperation in his voice.

Another call I got from another currency trading portal. I asked the name of country from which he was talking. It was very surprising that the person was calling from Cyprus. Is there any scarcity of place in India to open a business centre or they are afraid by the law of land or they need extra liberty to operate in India without hitting Indian laws or to be hit by Indian laws.

People need to understand the business model first. How do they operate and whether SEBI , RBI or any government controlled agency is regulating them. I not saying these are fraud. However, we need to be cautious because it is our hard earned money which needs to be pumped in to Curreny derivatives. Now if we talk about the advertisement !!

The first person is a freelance Lawyer ....boss I have heard about freelance journalists but did not hear about a freelance lawyer. I have updated my vocabulary. The lawyers do not know much about future, options, credit derivatives, interest swap , black scholes ...etc etc jargons, but the web site is helping him to earn from currency ups and downs. He may be taught the art of arbitrage etc etc.. The reader of the advertisement will see .. if a lawyers is convinced then the website shall be ok. Now a happy lady ....Aditri .. She is only 29 but now acquainted with earning from currency fluctuations and she knows how to earn , similarly a hotel employee is also bearing confidence and skills to earn from Currency market.

The objective of advertiser is clear.. Tap the middle class earners . Indian middle class market is the biggest market for the world. Currency trading is in the novice stage for India, so there is a great opportunity to educate them with currency trading. IForex and other companies have resources but they lack informed customers, educated customers, known customers, and intelligent customers. Hence its good that they are first educating and then they will earn from them.

There is question ,,, a lot of beautiful Indian heroines hold " LUX " soap responsible for their skins. But nobody from consumer fraternity have come up with the proof (after paying a visit to those celebrities'' bath rooms ) that they do use " LUX ". So we do believe that Mr. Kaur  ( this surname is generally used for Sikhs' wives , if I am not wrong ) , Ms. Aditri and Mr. Kunal do take help from iForex to learn currency basics. Best of luck Indians and India !!  Hope it would change the fortunes of Indian middleclass !!

Certainly Cost of advertising will be in crores , but number of hits on web site and purchase through the site will be quite higher than advertising costs.

Now a days , companies launch their advertisement on the front page of the newspapers. In facts its Pre Front page of the newspaper which is viewed prior to front page news. So, viewership is certain. Even if a news paper is not read, the objective of advertiser is fulfilled because people must pay attention on the front page with celebrities and discount offers. This type of advertisement is launched with an objective to cement its position in a single day. Once a person purchases a product , it is permanently a place to buy.

Yepme.com is on the front page of Times of India with a big news that is offering 50% + 25 % off if payment is made online only. The advertisement model is Shahrukh Khan which gives a special edge on the company over others. Till now all the brands promoted by ShahRukh has been successful except a few. but  his face could made the brand popular. Certainly , the level of investment made is praiseworthy. Till today , lakhs of people might have a hit the web site and clearly it will emerge a competitor of Flipkart, amazon, jabong and myntra :) . Till now we know that Yepme has a store in Jobong, now its a competitor or something else. Certainly any venture capitalist / investor have pumped in funds seeing the entrepreneurs. 7 Indirect Beneficiaries of Online Selling Portals

Not to say again, buying and selling of goods through web sites is a talk of households. The business which seemed to be a walker like tortoise is now running like a panther. In India before 15 years an ordinary man could sell his products or used articles through baazi.com only. Other web sites were there but not very popular. Seeing the current customer base and rising trend in sales of “baazi”, ebay.com bought the portal itself rather than creating its own image first. So the first beneficiary was a performer web site which showed their performance and got a good foreign investor or an existing large foreign online selling portal. I am not much discussing the history of emergence of online selling goods in India; rather I would like to mention the beneficiaries who eventually became the ultimate beneficiaries. Major beneficiaries are:

  • Courier Companies: Courier companies have grabbed the opportunity to deliver goods traded through online goods selling portals like amazon.in, flipkart, myntra, jabong, ebay, rediff, etc. Some companies like Amazon advertise that they can send goods within 24 hours. Flipkart also advertises about quick delivery. ebay also takes word from sellers about delivery period and holds them accountable. So we can easily imagine how couriers companies are getting business and how they should be efficient. Big players like dhl, bluedart and first flight etc. have already branches across nation so they took the ultimate benefit of this opportunity. Even middle sized courier companies like shyam courier, express, overnite etc. take leverage of their associated companies. People working in MNCs do not have time to go to market and purchase gift for their love, kins, and friends. Online purchasing is one of the most suitable options which directly give effect to rise in business of courier companies. If somebody has a big family across India along with their relatives, opening a courier company can be a good option.

  • Stationery:  Online goods are first packed, sealed, covered and then addressed. Bare minimum stationeries required are – Thermacol, paper, cartons, card board box, pen, pencil, tapes, glue, cards, paper waste, packing paper, computer cartridges etc.  These bare minimum things are pushing demand forward

  • Stock Market:  Online portals have already engraved their roots in India and now they are thinking to get themselves listed.  However, their business model and thinking are totally different from traditional businessmen like Ambanis, Tatas, Birlas etc. They are quite young and different thinker. Mostly people who are quite young and college outs join this business. These companies are offering Stock Options to their employees. Seeing the rising trend of the business, private equity, venture capitalists, and investors are pumping in their money. They are eyeing on the big opening at Stock Market for their exit route. But one of the best beneficiaries would be employees who have opted or will opt for ESOP (Employees Stock Option Plan). This is also an opportunity for young aspirants. They must go for this plan

  • Small Business: There are still crores of people who do not want to buy goods through online media. However, they just see which goods at what rate are being sold. They just see the quality and description of goods and purchase goods from a nearby shop who cannot afford to advertise such goods. But the same is going both ways. A person goes to market and purchase same or similar goods through online portals at deep discount. But currently it is the small businessmen who are more benefitted as they do not need to publicise their products

  • Banks: Credit Card payments, online fund transfer are now day’s chargeable services. Sometimes people forget to pay their dues on time and they are slapped with an interest @ 36 % p.a and penalty which is completely enjoyed by bankers.

  • Users of Internet: Online shopping viewers are now informed buyers!! They have seen the goods , they know about goods,

  • Birthday boys and Girls: People are now getting gifts without fail. Friends living abroad or at distant places can now send gifts of their choice. Beneficiaries are people who celebrate their birthdays, anniversaries etc.

There are other direct and indirect beneficiaries, will talk about them later on !! Please add some points to enrich my and viewers knowledge
