Incredible India - From Amir to Amitabh



On some people , god is more kind. Incredible India , a project of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has been a successful attempt to spread tourism in India through Amir Khan. All the advertisements were basically appealing Indians to respect places of historical importance, good behaviour with foreign tourists, showing the best part of Indian archaeological substances etc. Amir was also gaining respect through such advertisements. First , through 3 idiots movie, then Satyamev Jayate in Star Plus and then Incredible India advertisements.



After his comment that his wife thought to leave India because of growing intolerance or criminal incidences in the country, he has been suffering a lot of criticisms. Public is now against him. Whatever he does , now people of India are not in a mood to relieve him. At least for sometimes. He appeared to be a wise man, but talking about contingencies in the mind of his wife , he is proved to be less wise. Already he chose Kiron Kher over his first love and wife and faced a little criticism. The most interesting part was Kiron is not charming or glamorous. Hence something is wrong with Amir. After getting best ever popularity from three abovementioned things, he thought public would like all of his doings and misdoings. He started to dug his base by offering some adverse comments against Hindu in the movie PK and finally by spreading words of his wife..



We have more lucky and powerful person in Bollywood, none other than Amitabh Bacchan. Already he has done best to spread tourism for Gujarat. Now, who is better than him to spread Indian tourism. He is one of the best brand ambassadors to spread India and Indians. A perfect choice.. Due to Congress government and a potential rift between Gandhi family and Bacchans, he did not get the contract of Incredible India, however now we have Modi who chose Amitabh for Gujarat.





Time does not remain same. Amitabh has already crossed bad times and he learnt from mistakes and never repeated. That's why he is still earning and most respected among Bollywood Starts. In Kaun Banega Croretpati, he took back his seat from Shahrukh Khan and now Incredible India from Amir..



TV advertisement of LAVA Iris atom 2

We have been viewing the advertisement of LAVA smart phone on television for last one year. Still the company is not investing more on its new advertisement rather it is relying upon the effectiveness of the existing ad.


A young boy and a girl talking in a girl's house , suddenly doorbell .They saw girl's father ,from door hole, ringing door bell. Boyfriend  just hide behind the door. Father asked his girl if there was somebody and girl said no ,suddenly the phone rang and the couple was about to be caught doing romance but the father just looked at phone in the hands of boy. Father forgets the boy and starts to ask about LAVA mobile and girl starts to tell the feature of phone and he was so engrossed and impressed with feature that he forgets that his daughter was making him Champak. Father reacts happily in such a way that its hard to believe such features in a low cost smart phone.


Objective of advertisement is , the phone is loved by striplings and middle aged people. The features and look of the mobile are so good that anybody can be captivated.  LAVA phones are not very costly phone and advertisement talks about features of high phones within a few thousands. Anybody who wants to play with smart phone but not costly they may opt for LAVA Iris atom 2.

Front Page Jewellery advertisements on Sanmarg Kolkata

Front page of morning newspapers are basically devoted to most important news of yesterday. But things are changing. Already companies are capturing full page advertisement of all leading dailies and news start from 3rd page. So I named these first pages as Pre First Pages... but surprisingly the Front news page of a leading Hindi Daily of Kolkata "SANMARG" has published 9 advertisements. Interesting to see, 6 out of 9 advertisements belong to Jewellery companies. They are :


1. Indian Gem and Jewellery
2. MB Jewllers
3. Nemichand Bamalwa
4. Mahabir Danwar Jewellers
5. Diwansons, and
6. Imperial


2 of such advertisements are featuring highly paid divas.... Imperial is advertised by none other than Dia Mirza. After marriage she is looked like an Indian married woman wearing costly jewellery. On the other hand Indian Gem and Jewellery has re availed services of "Izabelle Leite" Both of them are beautiful and giving impact on viewers. Especially for Indian Gem and Jewellery .... if Esabelle has been hired again that means she has already given impact on the business. She has been seeing on advertisements of Indian Gem and Jewellery for last one year.


Now.. news paper.... either the capacity of Jewellery business have gone big so that they are affording front page news on Sanmarg or the business of Hindi News paper is in danger or they are out of news due to which the front page is covered with School, Sarees , Mattreses and jewellery advertisements on 29 November 2015 issue.


One thing I want to comment upon the advertisement , the face of Dia Mirza is not appropriate. It seems that she was slapped and then she was told to face camera. She looks astonished while Isabelle looks smiley and it seems that she is listening somebody's question and about to comment after that.


MB Jeweller's advertising agent has hired some aunty ... I do not know who is she...


Nemichand as usual traditional advertisement. A long term partner of front page of Sanmarg. Their advertisements were always being featured on front page on Sunday edition.  

Transparent SHOT Perfume

Good for a consumer of SHOT perfume to assess how much perfume has been used. The bottles are transparent unlike many other branded Deodrants. Sometimes it happens that we exhaust deodrants without expected quantity of use. SHOT also advertises that bottles are not filled up with mere gas rather it contains actual final product to be used by consumers.

Surprisingly THIN Amazingly Hot - Macroman and Macrowoman

Winter in India has set in, so obviously the sale of woollen garments have to rise. In today's news papers Macroworld published an advertisement in which a couple is shown in an intimate position but they are not nude... they are wearing Macroman and Macrowoman "WONDER THERMAL". The man is about to kiss the lady and one of lady's leg lies on the thigh of the lad.


 Its quite possible that the advertisement might not have attracted attention of readers but seeing a young couple lying on the same sofa in a lovable position must raise curiosity. One could possibly think that the advertisement belong to a Condom or some tonic or some sexual tablet but its clothes.


If a man lies on a woman , they may not need any cloth even in cold or they may need light clothes for some preliminary activities before action. Perhaps advertiser has a message that , such preliminary activities could be possible in winter clothes in cold weather and couple do not need light clothes. Just like casual clothes, Macroman and Macrowoman could be used.


Advertisements related to intimate scenes are very successful in drawing attention of people. Its not creativity rather taking help of sex strategy to make advertisement . The advertisement does not indicate comment on quality. The comment " Amazingly Hot" seems to be comment on the hot scene .


Ultimately , in long run, quality matters.

Schmitten luxury chocolates

In today's TOI (15 Nov 2015), saw an interesting advertisement that  Priyanka Chopra has put one corner of chocolate bar between . More interestingly, her whole body appears to be splashed with liquid chocolate. Curious by such a nice photos , I read and saw full advertisement. My observations are :




The advertisement is of a  new chocolate " Schmitten ". Firstly, I thought it may be a surname of some gentleman like "Cadbury" but at last I opened online dictionary and found " a scary game where everyone disappears" ..Surprised by the meaning.... so I checked further......then I found the relevant meaning as Schmitten is something which relates to teenagers. . Perhaps the word might appear fancy to the person who gave the name. If the word Schmitten is related to teens ... then why the advertisement indicates to invite "Corporate gifting inquiries" But , indeed, the word will "Schmitten" will attract people who love chocolate.




Another interesting thing.... for the first time.... I saw " luxury chocolates" ... what is "luxury" in chocolate. Does the company want to send a message that Chocolate is costly and too dear to be afforded by common people ? The answer is yes ...


  • for 595 gm the cost is INR 900 ,
  • for 405 gm the price is 700,
  • Special combo big 465 gm the price is INR 599 and
  • Special mini combo the quoted price is INR 299 for 205 gm
So get ready to gift "luxuy chocolates" to your girl friend, relatives and other chocolates. Girl friends will never complain as people would gear up to come out of brands like Dairy Milk, Silk, Kit Kat, Milky bar , Celebrations, 5 star .....


Now Taste............. I have not tasted .........but certainly I will test and update my feedback on the blog...because it is very important that taste should be good otherwise the brand will be thrown out like other brands of Nestle, Amul, and other which tried their fate in India but did not compete against the brand Cadbury strongly. Dairly Milk and Silk are the premier brand of chocolates in India and its just like brand "Colgate" to other toothpaste which manage to sell but does not appear to be real competitor of Colgate.


The brand has to engrave roots in India .they have selected Priyanka Chopra as their Ad Diva with heading " Charm your loved ones by gifting Schmitten Luxury Chocolates and make every occasion delectably special " . Mentioning the word "Luxury" indicates...... the company does not want to sell its products at general stores rather the chocolates shall be available at online stores and costly gift shop.


All the best new brand...



Funny AD of Cricbuzz

Enjoyed a new TV advertisement of Cricbuzz.com while watching 1st test between India and South Africa. A young man went to see a girl and his family with his father. The girl's father asked what did you find in his girl but the boy was busy in his mobile and probably looking at cric buzz. He replied "fine leg". The embarrassment and surprise was visible on everybody's face but the boy realised late what he told. The girl was just starts to cover her legs... finny.. fun. but the ad does not indicate available information are avaialabe.
